New Zealand Diploma – Level 5

The aim of this programme is to prepare students with a broad and generic understanding of core and technical concepts in Information Systems.

Graduates of this programme will be able to demonstrate a broad and generalist understanding, knowledge and skills in Information Systems including computer administration, networking, software development, user experience and technical and functional support.

The programme will equip learners with the required soft skills and technical skills to meet the range of Information Systems roles.

New Zealand Diploma – Level 5

The aim of this Level 5 programme is to embed a broad understanding of core concepts in Information Technology (technical support).

This diploma will form a solid foundation on information technology while imparting the skills and knowledge that are necessary for entry level roles in the IT environment or to pursue a Level 6 study in Systems Administration - Cloud and Virtualisation, Information Systems - Business Analysis or Information Systems - User Experience.

Learners will be equipped with soft skills and basic technical knowledge that meet the demands of IT employers.

New Zealand Diploma – Level 6

On completion of this programme, graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in Information Systems including communication skills, problem solving, design of information systems, software engineering, human computer interaction, database modelling and project management.

Graduates will also specialise in a specific strand of Business Analysis involving business case development, business modelling, requirements elicitation, business process improvement and capability maturity model integrated.

The Programme will equip learners with the soft skills and technical skills to meet a range of IT roles.

New Zealand Diploma – Level 6

On completion of this programme, graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in Information Systems including communication skills, problem solving, design of information systems, software engineering, human computer interaction, database modelling and project management.

Graduates will also specialise in a specific strand of User Experience involving human computer interaction, design thinking, wireframes, user personas, crowd sourcing and developing prototypes to create a rich user experience for websites and applications.

The Programme will equip learners with the soft skills and technical skills to meet a range of IT roles.

New Zealand Diploma – Level 6

On completion of this programme, graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and understanding in Systems Administration including computer administration, sever infrastructure and virtualisation, networking directory services, scripting, remote access, messaging and collaboration, network services, project management, communication, personal and interpersonal skills, IT service management, and professional ethical work practice.

The Programme will equip learners with the soft skills and technical skills to meet a range of IT roles
